Down’s Syndrome Screening Awareness

We have found that here in Lincolnshire there are many women who are not aware of the Down's Syndrome screening test that is available to pregnant women in early pregnancy. This test is in the form of a specialized ultrasound scan, in some areas of the country it is routinely performed with the NHS dating scan.

We can provide this scan at Brayford Studio, the studio is registered with the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF), Kings College London and is the only independent registered centre in Lincolnshire. Staff carrying out the scan must be trained and accredited by the FMF, it should be noted that this is a screening and not a diagnostic test.
